So thought 2 was when I had a few moments of a lifting of the fog, when words worked a little. It still doesn’t describe exactly what is was like. The effort taken to even find 8 words for thought 1 was huge and took me over an hour and a thesaurus to find the words cos I couldn’t remember them until I saw /read them. Thought 2 came in 10 mins without any of that.
A very fabulous summing up of brain fog! I've also tried writing poems to describe it, but failed, might have another go - I also love that unsplash image, very visual descriptor... sorry, my words aren't working this morning, but hopefully it made sense enough to you!!
Sympathies on the brain fog! It sounds terrible. I don't think I get brain fog, but my migraine meds make my brain feel so slow. Like it's been put in time out for being naughty.
For whatever it's worth, I think they do work together as one piece. Sort of a "13 Ways of Looking at a Blackbird"--but 4, and looking at brain fog. It would make sense not to be able to get to 13!
lol. My English teacher banned ‘nice’. But actually in the context you used it it’s a bit urban slang, and works perfectly well. I use noice - cos that’s the way my son says it. Nice is fine. I always imagine a nodding of the head to go along with it, and a gentle inward appreciation.
I think number two was my favourite too. So glad those mushrooms are working some magic 🍄

Oh I understand you completely. Brain fog is a language I’ve become quite fluent in 😂 my words are very cantankerous and capricious beasts at times.

I don’t know why I said Nice. What a dumb word!

I definitely meant it in the urban sense
“This should really be a blank page” I like how you led with that and the poem was fantastic. Nice.
Thank you
